Chain link fences Silver Lake, North Carolina
In the heart of North Carolina's scenic landscapes, Silver Lake glistens as a serene embodiment of natural beauty. Here, properties often boast chain link fences, an unassuming yet practical choice for demarcation and security. While seemingly mundane, these metallic barriers play a vital role in the everyday life of this tight-knit community.

Silver Lake's residents select chain link fences not only for their durability but also for the minimal obstruction they offer to the picturesque views. Unlike solid walls, these woven steel enclosures allow gentle breezes to pass through, carrying with them the sweet fragrances of local flora. The interlaced pattern creates a subtle lattice that blurs into the background when eyes are drawn to the lake's tranquil expanse.

Economically wise, these fences present an affordable solution compared to more elaborate designs. Homeowners appreciate their low-maintenance nature—no need for frequent staining or risk of rotting as with wooden alternatives. Yet it's not just pragmatism that guides their choice; there is a certain honesty in the simplicity of chain link fences, reflecting Silver Lake's unpretentious charm.

Even within this utilitarian framework lies room for personal expression. Some adorn their fences with climbing plants or string lights, softening the industrial feel and adding touches of individuality. These embellishments echo Silver Lake’s spirit—where functionality meets creativity and where communal respect is woven tightly into the fabric of daily living.

As seasons change, so too does the character of these ubiquitous barriers. Frost outlines each diamond-shaped gap in winter while summer sees them disappear under verdant growths. They stand resilient against autumn gusts and cradle spring blossoms—a silent witness to nature's cycles.

Chain link fences may be common across America, but in Silver Lake, they take on new meaning—a symbol of modest practicality and harmony between man-made structures and nature’s canvas. It’s here that such ordinary installations remind us how even our simplest choices can reflect our values and enhance our connection with our environment.

Therefore, while some might overlook a chain link fence as merely functional or too commonplace for remarking upon—the people of Silver Lake know better. They understand its place within their homes' tapestry: safeguarding children at play, keeping pets from wandering astray all while respecting the view that makes their corner of North Carolina so special.

We had a fence installed by this company in May of 2022, and until today I had refrained from writing a review about our experience but I can no longer hold back. Joe came out to give us the initial quote. He was very personable and seemed very knowledgeable. He stated that either he or his partner would be on the job every day. Their Google reviews were great and they were one of the only companies in the area willing to quote us what we asked for (split rail style fence with welded wire inside), everyone else seemed only interested in installing aluminum fencing. They were very reasonably priced and their quote came in at $15,000 to fence in our 1 acre back yard. I paid them half the money upfront as a deposit and didn't hear from them for weeks. When it came down to having the fence installed by the promised date I learned that Joe was not longer with the company and Dylan was now my main point of contact. After several weeks of just trying to get a start date, someone else finally showed up to start the job, one guy, by himself, with little to no instruction. Another kid showed up to help after several days of work, that clearly had no idea what he was doing. We were told the fence would take 3 days and instead took 2+ weeks. The older guy build the majority of the fence and Dylan finally showed up in time to install the last few piece of welded wire (that were 3ft tall instead of 4ft), and to build the gates. He promised that he would get more 4ft wire and replace the section that was too short. The gates he built look like they were built from scrap lumbar and are barely functional. Not a single one is the size it was supposed to be. I informed him that I was not happy and not willing to pay for the gates. I paid for the rest of the balance even though I wasn't thrilled with other aspects of the job but those paled in comparison to the gates. I told him that the photos on the website showed quality gates and that is not what I received. Dylan asked me to send photos of gate styles I liked and he would come out and rebuild them. I send him photos and told him I would allow him the chance to make it right. He ghosted me. Though I kept getting automated reminders from their billing system that I owed them money. After a while I responded to one of this reminders informing the company that I had no intention of paying them as they gates were never fixed and after more than 6 months I did not believe it would ever be fixed by them. I thought the matter was settled. Fast forward to yesterday, more than a year after the install. I got a call from Carl, their project manager who states he has been there since shortly after my fence was put in and that he just heard that I was unhappy the day prior. He asked to come out and take a look and see what could be done to rectify the situation. He arrived today and was pleasant enough. I walked him around the property and showed him all the problems. When my husband asked what the goal of his visit was, he informed us it was to fix the problems and collect the final payment owed! The audacity! After more than a year, to come back to my house and try to get more money from me! I am honestly just floored. Carl, the project manager, stated that they have an entirely different crew now. However, the interaction today is what finally tipped me over the edge. If this is how they plan to move forward, it is clear to me their priority is to collect money by all means necessary and not to rectify the wrong done. See the photos for yourself and think twice before hiring this company.

I’m overdue from writing this review. Had the best experience with this fencing company in moving to Oak Island. Having two dogs, I needed one long side and two ends with gates installed to have a fully fenced in yard. They were able to fit me in before I moved in and being out of town communicated often. My neighbor watched them work and told me he had never seen a company so polished and precise in what they were doing and it was amazing to be a spectator.

I highly recommend Cape Fear Fence! The fence came in much sooner than expected, and it is beautiful. Joe and his crew did a fantastic job installing, particularly in a difficult corner of our yard. The price was reasonable for the size of the job. We will definitely go with CFF for our porch railing. We are very pleased overall quality of the product and workmanship.

We highly recommend Cape Fear Fence! Our fence was installed 2 months ago & we couldn't be happier with the quality and craftsmanship. Matt (PM) was easy to work with, quick to provide an estimate, and the price was competitive. Their 2 person crew was IMPRESSIVE--these guys worked so hard!! Great experience with Cape Fear Fence.
